Information you choose to provide
Reader Lounge posts include the display name and message you enter, the selected book room, whether you marked a spoiler, and the time of posting. Reports record that a device reported a particular message.
Harbridge story pitches include your name, email address, working title, setting, pitch text, confirmation that you are at least 18, confirmation that the work is original, and acceptance of the submission terms.
Device information
The site stores a random reader identifier and, if you choose, your display name in your browser. These help apply posting limits, prevent duplicate reports, and make repeat visits easier. The site may also receive ordinary technical request information from its hosting provider for security, reliability, and abuse prevention.
How information is used
Information is used to publish reader messages, operate book discussions, review reports, moderate abuse, evaluate Harbridge pitches, contact a submitter about a pitch, protect the site, and maintain necessary records.
What becomes public
Reader Lounge display names and messages are public. Harbridge pitches, email addresses, moderation reports, and device identifiers are not published. Do not place personal information inside a public message.
Sharing
Personal information is not sold or rented. Information may be processed by the services that host and operate the site, disclosed when reasonably necessary to protect users or the site, or produced when legally required.
Retention and choices
Reader posts and related moderation records may be retained while the community operates. Story pitches may be retained while they are reviewed and for reasonable business or legal recordkeeping. You may clear the site’s saved identifier and display name through your browser settings. To request review or deletion of information you submitted, contact Pharaoh Fuller through an official author channel and identify the relevant post or pitch.
Children
The Reader Lounge is not intended for children under 13, and the Harbridge story program is limited to adults age 18 and older. If information from a child under 13 is discovered, it may be removed.
Changes
This policy may be updated as the community develops. The effective date above will change when a material revision is posted.
